Hi Peter. I read your comment about changing the world and being wrong. Sadly enough, we are in that "window of opportunity" once again and the choice of candidates is miserable. Billary, Obama bin Laden, Hickaberry Fin, Rudy Julie-on-me, John Mc-war-wonger, and others. If I had to vote today, I'd probably write in my cat. Ron Paul seems to have some great things to say but being that he isn't truly in the Republican or Democratic party, he doesn't stand a snowball's chance in Hell either. Maybe Lou Dobbs will run! Hmmmm

Well, life in Maine continues. My taxes are out of control, my utilities just got raised a nice, tidy 40%, my bank just raised my mortgage by $130 a month, my pipes froze in the last freeze, my studio has sat empty for the last two months, and my girlfriend broke up with me (but we parted as dear friends and that makes it so much easier to deal with). So, other than that, life is grand!!

As for your photo, I love the geometry of it!! Lines and shades complimented by the aged wood; great stuff! Sadly enough, I haven't had my camera out for quite some time. You'd never know I owned a photography business and that I have a studio. I'm hoping to have it hopping here real soon because I really need that income. Bills don't stop coming just because the money stops flowing!

Have a great week, my friend, and I'll email you later and update you on life in Maine. I do have a new lady friend and you'll be surprised to know what she does for a living!

Take care. Talk to you soon!

Mike

Edye,
How grand to hear from you. I have wondered what you are up to and how life is treating you. I don't get to Nikonians often since it has become so equipment driven. We both know that cameras and technology do not make photographs/art people do. Thank you for your insightful comment and I hope to see your name here and in my in box so we can catch up. enjoy pjc

Peter, it's been too long my friend. Yours is a joy to rediscover-forgive me my absence. I love the geometric forms of the shadows, the musty dusty appearance, it's mysterious and thought provoking.
