The Eighties, Providence,Newport, Art, Respect to begin…then

by Peter J. Crowley on February 18, 2008

The Eighties began for me in Providence with the highest of highs and quickly crashed into the depths. I suppose it wasn’t just me the entire nation hid in a cocoon pretending it was the 50s living high off the profits of Ollie, George, Donnie’s and of course their good friend and ally Saddam dirty little secret. But for now a pleasant day of snapper fishing comes to an end and I get my photo for a sport fishing story at the Providence Eagle.

Peter, it’s so wonderful to time travel via your photographs. It makes me think how much I need to incorporate people into my images. Something completely foriegn to me! I so much love seeing and wondering about these times gone by, the people in the photographs. Thank you!
