Portfolios for Salons

by Peter J. Crowley on April 29, 2010

Old buildings, railroads, texture, doorways, small business, individuality, figure studies these are a few of my favorite subjects.

Here a couple of these are combined and if you look there is more than just the South Windham train station.  What do you want to see? I hope to have the date for the first Old Roads Salon set in the next two days. New Prints from Galilee and old prints from many portfolios priced very reasonable.                   enjoy pjc

Old Work, New Work

by Peter J. Crowley on April 28, 2010

Galilee Rhode Island a portrait of  a simpler time of small business and hard work, fresh fish not fish sticks or MacLead patties.

On March eleventh I started posting “The Galilee Portfolio” an old road I am re-traveling. I was there again the week before last. The images I made were on B+W film and color transparencies. Sure there was a couple of digital images for the instant gratification crowd but these are also instantly forgotten. Snapshots for fun. Since 2004 till late February I had no place to print my own art. Now I do so here is the way I see it after much thought, over the next year I will be printing old portfolios/projects. Some of these images will be previewed here. Once a month I’ll have a Salon where these new prints will be available. There may be one to three of each image with around 500 rolls of film to choose from most of these old road/new prints will not be visited again. Watch for location of  the May Salon.                               enjoy pjc

Galilee All Maine Woman

by Peter J. Crowley on April 24, 2010

Still in Galilee 2004, I was there again last week yet the Muse only flitted in and out of the scene. I haven’t had much to say lately but this week I will have news of where this old muse is going and the changes in vision.  Seven am is a bit early to talk retrospectively for that is the way I am headed. Less typing more B+W and Transparencies. Less internet more humanity.         enjoy pjc
