Time for something different
Time an abstract concept. Thoughts on image appreciated. Photographic Art
But does time exist? Or is it just an illusion? We have got used to thinking of time as flowing continuously or as ourselves as moving along the fourth dimension of time (a la Einstein, Minkowski). Some philosophers (e.g. Gurdjieff as also the Vedantins) say no, we are not conscious every waking moment of our lives, our consciousness (or "we") just sample random "moments in time", much as a snap-shooter does with a camera. Are these random conscious exposures the sum total of our existence? Might as well ask, does the snap-shooter's film faithfully record his complete life history?

Time mugged me. It took my money, my youth, and left me with gray hair.
It's more than a unit of measure, it's the bastard child of dreams and regret.
