Could it be either one or the other or neither of the two?
We make the new year significant though it’s just another day.
This ball of water, rock, and gas has spun another cycle. One more degree clicked off from the big circle around the sun.
There’s a photograph taken from the Galileo spacecraft from 4 billion miles away. Al Gore displays it during the film, “An Inconvenient Truth.”
From that perspective, this massive planet we inhabit is merely a little blue speck among thousands upon thousands of others.
The significance of the year? I’m left to question the significance of Earth and Mankind.
