Providence and RISD Art Events

by Peter J. Crowley on February 22, 2008

As a final graduate project at RISD Gary Widmer installed a 1956 Lincoln Continental into the Court Yard of the RISD Museum on Benefit St. Not an easy feat since it had to be dropped in with a crane. Went off without a hitch. enjoy pjc
Providence was a short but great period for me.

A Jamestown RI Hot Dog

by Peter J. Crowley on February 20, 2008

Young love at the hot dog cart on Jamestown RI Bay. Rhode Island was a quiet place and creative zone for me for a couple years. Warm breezes, respect, art. What more could one ask for?

The Eighties, Providence,Newport, Art, Respect to begin…then

by Peter J. Crowley on February 18, 2008

The Eighties began for me in Providence with the highest of highs and quickly crashed into the depths. I suppose it wasn’t just me the entire nation hid in a cocoon pretending it was the 50s living high off the profits of Ollie, George, Donnie’s and of course their good friend and ally Saddam dirty little secret. But for now a pleasant day of snapper fishing comes to an end and I get my photo for a sport fishing story at the Providence Eagle.
