From a cowboy hat to cowboy country

09.07.2008 by Peter J. Crowley // 4 Comments

Now back in the Northwest I meet and photograph a very talented writer from North Dakota in the back window of the trains last car. Bouncing along into the Cascades with Rick assisting me holding fill light. The eyes of America are warm and concerned.

I set out on this journey primarily to attend my daughters wedding. Which was wonderful. Due to air fares and the general annoyance of air travel I was fortunate to take advantage of Amtrak’s rail pass. So for 15 days in August I set out to capture America through the eyes of the people on the rails. enjoy pjc

Peter, collecting images and lifestories on the train, travelling through America, I love your pictures. I love to look at these faces and into them, (you let us:)and to hear about these people, their stories and minds filtered through yours’, always positive. I’ll be back to look more thoroughly

Came back to look at these eyes. In fact, the face is all eyes. Calm, kind eyes.
