Just a thought after seeing all the blue snow on line.

This Blue snow thing was pointed out to me when I sent a scan to my web designer this morning and she asked how come your snow is white? Screens make a difference for sure but exposure is the main ingredient.  Your camera meter is sure everything is middle gray, so snow has to be gray or in color light blue [the tone of underexposure] you pull out the artifiscal intelligence and it’s wrong. Imagine that?                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             enjoy pjc

Well believe it or not I am looking forward to some snow, perhaps some real seasonal images tomorrow. This image taken behind the Library in Colchester last January. It is simple, a cold winter sky. A long hand held exposure.

I saw on a friends blog that Charis Wilson died in November, for those of you who don’t know she was Edward Westons Muse and much more.  Recently a Documentary of Westons work with Charis was done titled The Eloquent Nude you can get more info at the link as well as a copy if you want. I highly recommend the film.
Weston is one of my favorite Photographic Artists.  enjoy pjc

P.S. Between the lines coming tomorrow, I spent the day going from maul to maul and like youu know there just wasn’t time.

Duality, The Pixel and the Silver Halite.

TextingStonyCreek-D-71-09-14 At the opening toThe Vision Toward Wellness Gallery Show on the 6th of December. I noticed this young women texting and thought I am so not here in the Tech world, hell I don’t have a cell phone or microwave. But the more I thought the more I realized how addicted I am to the screen.  Duality, in November I had a show “Between Here and There ” from the title of a poem. But it is more than a poem it is a summary of my life and yours too perhaps. With all the multi tasking and bombardment of information/disinformation are you ever here? Is it ever now? Is there ever time to focus? Now it is the Holodaze Season and I am trying hard to be joyous. But with the amount of material that is slipped in while you are out over spending it is hard to not rant. So later today or tomorrow I will be adding a page for my thoughts so those of you who want to see my take on the world around us will be able to click a link.

“Between the Lines.”  Seeing what is right in front of you. coming soon.                                                                                                                   enjoy pjc
