Texture on B+W Film, with Blue Eyes

12.03.2009 by Peter J. Crowley // 3 Comments

Cheney Mills Manchester Ct. once a large Silk Mill now the many buildings have been converted to Apartments, condos and a Theater.  Manchester has done well to save the old as you can see by clicking on the image to take you to a restored elementary school. This door is a back entrance to a loading dock now a parking garage for tenants. The door is not used but for time travel to a period of strong buildings with a wisp of character. A textural muse………

and speaking of Muse’s, from yesterday more eyes, more triangles but mostly more emotion. A portrait for someone you love? Book soon, Be Art! Buy Art! Shop Local! Eyes and Triangles

12.02.2009 by Peter J. Crowley // 1 Comment

Elements of design and emotion.TheEyesofTheSeventies-Calvin1During the seventies I was beginning to work with a dancer which added the element of motion to my stills or that gave me an understanding on how much motion played a role in creating emotion in my stills. Already constructing my visual thoughts with  negative space and triangles this motion became a defining theme for the rest of my work.  Sculpting the figure as a piece of marble where light played through the triangles rounding the form, always drawing you to the eyes caressing your attention, presenting the mood of my visual voice.
