Old Work, New Work

by Peter J. Crowley on April 28, 2010

Galilee Rhode Island a portrait of  a simpler time of small business and hard work, fresh fish not fish sticks or MacLead patties.

On March eleventh I started posting “The Galilee Portfolio” an old road I am re-traveling. I was there again the week before last. The images I made were on B+W film and color transparencies. Sure there was a couple of digital images for the instant gratification crowd but these are also instantly forgotten. Snapshots for fun. Since 2004 till late February I had no place to print my own art. Now I do so here is the way I see it after much thought, over the next year I will be printing old portfolios/projects. Some of these images will be previewed here. Once a month I’ll have a Salon where these new prints will be available. There may be one to three of each image with around 500 rolls of film to choose from most of these old road/new prints will not be visited again. Watch for location of  the May Salon.                               enjoy pjc

This is a great idea Peter. Can’t wait to see more of the old work. And your digi stuff is far less disposable than you may think.
