Texture, Simple Real or Abstract…

12.05.2012 by Peter J. Crowley // Leave a Comment

Surface texture, design, art, or is it just a metaphor of life? Soft warm and smooth the baby is born little surface texture. The shell hardly formed. The old stones in the canyons or by the sea starting rough and sharp slowly reach towards soft and smooth. What is the direction of reaching the soft smooth texture? Living creatures or stone, wood, all achieve soft and smooth. The social world builds shells of texture and fear upon the living. But the rock by the sea or in a canyon adapts slowly to mother natures wind and waves to proceed with the harmony of soft and smooth. Broken the rock returns to sharp and rough. While the human grows hard and rough with age finally softening with age. Dismiss the “I” in this soft rant and consider the life of a stone and a baby as equals. At some point in their lives they are soft and smooth equals in a less than equal time.
