June Thirteenth 2017

There is always the Flowers

There is always the flowers

A meaningful image

A face, a form, a metaphor,

A muse

Many old images populate my circle

No images in _ No images out

There is always the flowers

Soul an image that speaks

A story told and retold

The Rectangle is empty

There is always the flowers

I still seek the highlight and shadows

Contrast communication

Life is middle gray

Meds, meals, meals meds bed

The dream  awakened by reality

There is always the flowers

The rectangle in dark

A Moment, an Hour Without Time or Place

05.23.2017 by Peter J. Crowley // 1 Comment

A Pill and  cool coffee as I recline on my bed. Miles music plays to silence and the body disappears………………………just the mind in a place where there is no time,             no before or after.      A meditative trance like state no broken body just the mind wandering through………………….

I pull out of the Crosbie lot on North St. waiting as two cars hurry to the red light a formidable black women cuts to the side line as her skinny white friend prepares a crack back block ………

she leans over my shoulder laughing whispers of the sweet song of youth…….

the moment passes reality returns and I am late to the dance.

1970’s Memorial Day 1972 Stratford Ct.

10.19.2016 by Peter J. Crowley // Leave a Comment

Then and now the waves of change roll in but the breakwater of status quo flattens them with new and improved detergent. These were the early days of spin.

A quiet porch Memorial off the main streets parade route. Belief still had some.

Sikorsky Helicopters a small civil disobedience demonstration. Stop the killing.

Peace for children and people of the world this scout groups message loud then, now unheard.

Walking back to my car she sits on the porch. Sitting on porches a calming time morning, evening, anytime. Put down your personal lobotomy device. Sit breath, wonder, imagine.

My second book filled with images, tales both visual and verbal commentary on five decades of passionate observation. Real, Surreal, Silly, Serious, Loud and Quiet a way of seeing.
