A Bit of Humor and Seasons

09.02.2013 by Peter J. Crowley // 3 Comments

So I had this client for a portrait that I wanted to do a profile of but he would have nothing to do with a profile, moving fidgeting etc. finally he turned looked at me straight on and said like this look right into my eyes that is my best look. Who am I to argue?????????????

Praying Mantis 8-22-13-004

What could I say it does accentuate his antlers.

Fall Creeps in early August-8-30-13-014

This all started on the 7th of August little spots of color on Swamp Maples but on the 30th I could hide from it no more Foliage. Seems a bit early to me but time to wash the sweaters. JEEZ enjoy pjc

PS these are not from the fragment series although seasons play a large roll in fragments.

Route 87 Oct. 21st A warm Afternoon Between Here and There

Between Here and There a ride I take once a week. Never fails to provide inspiration. Simple beautiful back light hide the sun behind the tree. Use polarizer and expose for the foreground + 1 stop. enjoy pjc

More Texture in Norwich

11.21.2012 by Peter J. Crowley // Leave a Comment

Digital image made yesterday. I have watched this barn shot it a couple but more of what I call look ats. I see look at the image then calculate when the best time and light I want the image to be then get there and shoot it perfectly as I saw the barn. But the dilemma still exists for I saw this as a B+W High Contrast image. I shot it in B+W with a red filter and later I’ll post that. I desaturated this also but I think I will post that side by side by the film shot. Hopefully you’ll be able to see the deference in the edge I have spoken of before.
