Reflections that Look

June 25, 2015 By Peter J. Crowley 2 Comments

_DSC0290 Ss Cnt+30 Lt+10 Lampshade 5-28-15That questioning look, I’ve seen it throughout my life. Parents, educators, friends, my daughter and now my my granddaughter. Sometimes the look is what were you thinking or you shouldn’t have done that. Are you crazy, or silly grandpa. Pity a dream you followed perhaps it was a mistake. The face in the lampshade a knowing sadness, compassion but no answer. I see that face too often. What comes next? Is the road less traveled a dead end?                                                    peace pjc

Outside the window it is winter I am an old man, inside my mind it is Spring.
Today I’ll be a child driving my Pink Cadillac.

Inanimate Objects?

September 10, 2010 By Peter J. Crowley 2 Comments

Inanimate Objects

What’s to be said?
Relaxed late day Sun
Virtual – Real?
Tired and unburdened
Reflecting on lunches served
Hands held, eyes meeting
Inanimate objects
Me and You
Text messages, laptops
Multitask Focus
Lunch on the Main Stage
Virtual real worlds collide
Table settings reflect all
In the warm afternoon light
Inanimate objects
Without a care
Wait for tomorrows asses
To fill the chairs
