The Daily November 2nd

The Daily well it won’t happen every day. The image may not be from that days images. So why The Daily, it sounds good LOL each day I shoot images with my Digital Nikon trying to learn how to optimize the quality of my images. Sometimes I’ll show these tests if they are fun, a good image and I can talk about what I tried to accomplish.

Today it is RED. I have found the most difficulty in creating images with lots of red. The problem has been separating the various densities without blocking up tones. today’s walk to the market provided my with this image. It was great to be able to wear shoes and walk for the first time since Wednesday.

This is right out of camera with shooting in Vivid +1 contrast WB for shadow and +1 saturation. In PS I took out some blue and a bit of green. Minor contrast, and lighting. so to me it is okay but in my mind when I made the image I felt there was more separate red values. Opinions welcome. enjoy pjc

November First, A Day, A Metaphor, Some Color Light, Too Much Darkness

The morning light came and went. Bright spots, dark clouds like my week radical changes often dark. Noon a incredible downpour.

Three pm a breeze sun and rich saturated light. There is a look that follows a Thunder Storm or downpour. Clear yet so much moisture in the air, combined with the late light warm on the kelvin scale.

It is the light, the smell it is Autumn

Just color swatches here not high art just a look at the day. My day seeking bright color at the end of a dark week.

The day mirrors my week. The E.R. on Wed. night. Not able to walk for three days. A friend is gone, my best friend. The call came Sat morning it was not unexpected but I still start to cry Inara rushes to me hugging me so much love, compassion from a child. She takes me through knowing when to play and when to hug. peace pjc
