Spring Comes in Three Verses, Sonnets, Phrases

05.04.2012 by Peter J. Crowley // Leave a Comment

Early Spring the first few warm days and the early buds begin to peek from there winter capsules. Small points of orange, brown, yellow and red dot the hillside with an impressionistic glow during the golden hour.

Tulips bubs poke out and up drinking the morning dew, soon they will explode like the roman candle of spring. Colors and buds continue to appear as the later blooming trees begin, the palette changes daily toward trees becoming green and providing a deep summer shade.

Then full blown plants these on the early side in Manchester. One of the great things about Connecticut is you can for weeks travel through all three of spring sonnets in a single day trip. On Monday I drove from Norwich, mid spring up route 87 to Franklin, Lebanon early spring on to Manchester for the beginning of late spring. I am a big fan of seasons and love spring the first season of the year, the first circle.                                                                                              enjoy pjc

Wickham Park on a Hot Muggy Morning Shade was at a Premium

04.13.2012 by Peter J. Crowley // Leave a Comment

Eleven am or so the morning fog lifted and the temperature jumped from low eighties to low nineties in the blink of a shutter. The weather didn’t dampen the spirits of those gathered for the wedding . I can’t say the same for the shirts LOL but after a short beautiful ceremony everyone retreated to air conditioning  and cool drinks. On the way out I shot this back lit tree cool, comfortable in the shade of the leaves warm,  sunny at the top. The tree was happy and so were the Wedding couple and their guests.                                                       enjoy pjc
