November Fifth 2021 A Tree ————-An Ent

11.06.2021 by Peter J. Crowley // 10 Comments

The historic tree down the street a subject often shot. Like Arnold Prince told me the figure is in the stone you just bring it out. The image was in my head but hadn’t been released. November 5th I saw it at last.

I stood in the street drinking coffee as the tree and clouds shared many moods.

Brilliant color from nature and my minds eye.

Dark, cold stormy this Giant Ent had tales to tell. I listened for over thirty minutes. The thoughts warm sepia bringing comfort to strong dark, cold and stormy.

The sky provided rapidly changing frames for me to create.

November 3rd another favorite hard wood of mine. Maybe it is their age or that there are fewer out west than in Connecticut.

Color surrounds the last leaves.

Bang

08.07.2019 by Peter J. Crowley // Leave a Comment

A short very short walk this morning. The plan color images to convert to B+W but in one block and much bending 50 images, 30 minutes later hobbling home with a smile on my face BANG.

Thirty feet along I was in Monet’s Garden at Giverny.

There were more steps taken in the garden.

An edge of sharpness cuts the soft palette.

Still at Patty’s, I did walk further but this is today’s Bangs.

Poppy’s, Purple and I see an image of ……….summer peace.

A Short Walk 7/24/19 3:30 to 4:00

07.24.2019 by Peter J. Crowley // 4 Comments

Today a tight calf made me wonder how far my stroll would be, a very short walk indeed worth ever step.

I look at this fence often today back light softened by leafs. Bending for one, two images review. Pain it will be a short walk confirmed.

Looking up love it dizzy. Maybe around the corner. Breath deeply once twice onward to another glimpse of the light .

A knot plays in the sun shadowed by leafs and a thin cloud cover. Bending ya this is the far end of my walk. Adjustments to contrast ISO again the fence beckons.

The Fence a playmate and teacher today focal points and DOF how low can the shutter speed go? Today 1/25 of a second bending and holding my breath. Touch the top of the fence steady, still deep breath. Home slowly sit down a drink.

It may seem a simple subject but to me far more. Light creating motion made still in my image that then implies the motion, the light dances becomes an emotion. Simplicity is the hardest concept to grasp.

Peace is also simple just not as profitable.
