New Years Day 2013 Lebanon Green

02.08.2013 by Peter J. Crowley // Leave a Comment

I’ll be back from snow shoeing to the market. Ya right. Just looked out the parking lot side of my Apt. and there was NPW plow cleaning a bars parking lot. Priorities don’t drive, don’t drink and drive but if you do the parking lot is plowed. enjoy pjc

Cruising right back to summer in Willi. For those of you who like tech details digital image with someone holding my caption pad above the lens to cut flare. A little PS contrast control and burning back. There is about a six stop range between sun and shadow. I am shooting from shadow into sun Red Head Model Serenity Baby [see Model Mayhem] is pale creating a very difficult lighting situation. enjoy pjc

The Lights are on but No One is Home Yet, Light of the Sun

11.15.2012 by Peter J. Crowley // 2 Comments

Late day and the parking lights are on as the Norwichtown Mall restoration continues.

Strong late afternoon sun create this apparently warm light yesterday afternoon. I have a problem or a dilemma with posting this tree you see what I saw was a B+W photo with a red filter to create a high contrast image. But the B+W I shoot is film so I am drawn to wanting this the way I saw the original image. I could but won’t convert it in PS. No matter what I do in PS the image never has the edge of a B+W neg/print. Maybe it is me but there is a whole different emotion produced by film the tactile feel of it the lingering study of the subject. The feeling of a book as opposed to a kindle. To me digital is a destination without a journey and the road of life is a journey of places in the soul, places that move you. A visual poem part of the journey, part of the story as you look at images of my journey you add your life’s story to fit my image in your response becoming part of my journey. enjoy pjc

Earlier effort at conversion, I thought sometime recently I posted a side by side of color and desaturated to B+W but can’t find it now.
