Spring at The Salem Herb Farm

04.11.2012 by Peter J. Crowley // Leave a Comment

In one of the green houses “Cool Veggies Loving” Wanting a home in your garden.

The Color of Spring amidst sprinkles and sun I wandered. The smell of spring permeating the air and the inner senses of renewal, the circle of life.

A collage of color and life at “The Salem Herb Farm” a place I visit as often as I can it renews me with color plants, a great variety of chickens some sporting Mohawk hair dos. Goats, an Emu with magic and peace filling the spring air I highly recommend a visit for you seedlings, flowers and soul. These plants are grown locally with love, not trucked in to the big box. Yesterday a Forced Taste of Spring, Today Snow.

02.24.2012 by Peter J. Crowley // Leave a Comment

After picking up my auto at the garage in Plainfield we road back to Norwich through the countryside. Being the golden hour my intern contacted a colorful friend to model for us. It was in the low 50’s and warm except when the wind blew through at 20mph. That’s why it was a forced taste, but snow in the morning reminded us it is still winter. Here is a golden moment of a cornfield and one of our colorful model who had to pretend it was spring more than the two dressed for winter photographers. enjoy pjc

More Silver Gelatin More of Other Winters

02.13.2012 by Peter J. Crowley // 3 Comments

Eleven Winters ago on a ride to Dick Davis’s house we came upon this structure. Pulled off in the snow and created the image in one or two frames. Most likely one but I could have been shivering. Most often my images are 1-3 three exposures. I usually know which I like but take a couple brackets. As I remember it was late day light and cold. enjoy pjc
