Too much, keeping pace with life creating commenting moving in a direction the journey continues. Back to film the 70’s, 80’s 90’s. Swirling from age four to sixty six in a 1/250th of a second. January 1974 a cold morning stroll on State Street New Haven. It was very cold but the light was perfect a thin gray overcast sun softened by the clouds. I knew I had it one image made Kodachrome 64 and walk on to the next shot. This image had a feeling that knowing you had spoken that there was more to say. The journey will go on the moment brief lasting forever created. Forty two years later the moment this moment still feels right.

April 1973 a walk in the woods of Columbia Ct. Mike Sirak’s parents home. Frozen puddles speak of the past season shivering Mike and I wander seeing abstract color patterns seeking spring in frozen Oak leafs.

The sound track was as sweet as I will ever know as the eighties dawned in Providence in love with a women then the city. The moments, multiple moments erupting in the theater, dancing across my shutter plane. I was the moment, the muse. The fall was a devastating crash, a betrayal, a pistol… seeking a place to hide.

Coventry back to youth, trust, safety unable to find the map the journey stalled at a rest area. Where is the muse?

The Dance of color, light, seeing returns slowly. The North Carolina Dance Theater invites me to dance the blues away. The muse visits, structure, determination, hope, life. The journey re starts. Trains, ferries, summer my daughter propel the journey forward.

January 2016 the station is now Olympia. The Wolf dances with the Bears the circle nears completion.

So that’s the story of my journey, seeking the highlight finding the muse. Forty Five years of visual and verbal comments on the human condition. After The Rain, Digital Kodachrome?

The walk today, drops of rain gently back lit by sun through passing thin clouds.

Almost back from the market turning to my yard the ground growth in one of the gardens rich satureated. Slight post process to these two add +10 to saturation to near the wonder of Kodachrome. Not an easy task.

Contest is over. Spend a moment with the images and thoughts.

Since my senior year at Coventry High I have lived life as an artist, seeing, pondering, communicating with visual words and verbal images.

Early travels to N.Vt a friends old house. An ad in Burlington Free Press a model to create emotions. Ad read call after 10 am, at 8:30 we took the phone off the hook 75 calls and I had booked Christine [funny I can’t remember names but 42 Years later hers pops right into my head] at 5-10 with expressive eyes the session produced wonder. Image made on Kodachrome.

But before Christine the muse was born on Cosey Beach E. Haven on my daily beach walk I found this young women we talked I created. We became friends and worked together a few more times. 1971 or ’72 I realized I could mirror my soul through a muse.

The road wasn’t always smooth often feeling as old as my Beetle Bug I plugged along too often needing a mechanic [Doctor] to keep me running. The Muse sometimes a women, sometimes a flower but The Muse is me.

There were some Kinks along the way Ray here doing an intro to Demon Alcohol drinking a Heineken, “Sad memories I can’t recall.” Dance, theater performing arts the muse moved. Time, space reflections real, surreal, abstraction and identity joined the muse in the dance of youth and creation. enjoy pjc

Photographic Art In the late 90’s I chanced to meet The Muse at lunch mid afternoon by 10am the next morning we were in my studio for two years we worked many times. It was always magic.
